Our goal is to enrich and challenge motivated teens in a safe and supportive outdoor environment conducive to learning new skills in a multi-cultural, spectacular and inspiring outdoor setting. Whether our campers specialize in rock climbing, outdoor digital photography, music discovery, martial arts or paddle sports they will be offered the best possible instruction from good role models and best equipment available and no doubt will return home changed individuals. Because of our professional staff and first rate instruction, our campers will find success in one or more specialties and outdoor activities of their choice. These well guided individual, team and group activities will undoubtedly foster growth in their character, personal sense of independence, self- worth and self- confidence. No matter what specialty the campers choose we focus on learning through experience, and learning to not only to take a great photograph, climb an awesome rock, or paddle a canoe, kayak or SUP, but more importantly to fit in well within a new group, function well and enjoy people of diverse backgrounds. This is a prerequisite for happy, healthy, effective and harmonious living in school, work and society at large.
The Columbia Gorge Teen Camp strives to impact youth in the most positive way possible using our 60 years of experience in professional youth camping. All campers will be safely challenged physically, emotionally and mentally and will return home changed individuals fully inspired to share good stories and good memories, and most certainly will return with a richer, deeper knowledge of themselves and the world they live in.
